Add a Job, Project, and Property in QuickBooks Online

Add a job, project, or property name in QuickBooks Online to enter and view transactions. By doing this, you can easily produce the following:

  • Project Profitability report
  • Unbilled Time and Expenses report
  • Nonbillable Time report

After you add a project, it will appear under your customer name. In the video below, we have instructions on how to add a project and change the settings in the customer center.

To add a job, project, or property to the QBO account:

  1. Click Projects
  2. Click on Add your first project
  3. Enter the Project Name, Customer, on Notes
  4. Click Save
  5. To enter another project, click on Projects in the menu bar and select New project and follow the instructions from #3
